Welcome
And thank
you for stopping by - Watson Racing Team - Home to Mike Scrivani's
1983 Championship winning Edmunds Midget. WRT is one of 4
sites which together form Team
Watson Online.
Other other 3 sites focus on our 1933 Crack'n Riley Special
Sprint Car or Micro Sprint Racing Team & our side business
- High Performance Design. If you arrived at our site from
a site other than www.teamwatsononline,
I invite you to stop by our main "Portal" and see
all we have to offer. |

Introduction
This web
site had been assembled to chronicle the rebirth of a Champion.
The featured 1983 Edmunds Midget was built and campaigned
by "Iron" Mike Scrivani and driven to the 1983 ARDC
Championship as car #1 by Nick Fornoro Jr.
WRT took possession of the car April 7, 2002 after it had
sat in a garage for approx. 13 years. WRT restored the car
back to how it was in 1983 when it won the Championship (with
some slight updating to increase safety & performance).
One day when we are no longer running the car hard we will
remove the updating and return the car to a true 1983 era
car.
The
car is currently being campaigned on both asphalt as well
as dirt. See you at the track.
an interesting story about how we learned of the car and
came to purchase it the next morning).

You just have to see this decal in person. My decal
vendor has outdone herself. This decal is an exact
replica of the original. And this is not applied
by soaking it in water like the original, this decal
is high quality vinyl with a outdoor life of 5 -
7 years. Every vintage ARDC car should be carrying
one of these decals. I am selling these at cost,
$15.00 + shipping. I have personally paid the artwork
fee already, all you need to pay for is the generation
of the decal. We will make several at a time as
soon as enough orders come in to justify. These
are custom made. We will not be making 50 or 100
upfront.
To
inquire further about the decal, please email me,
Brian Watson at brianwatson@watsonracingteam.com
My
plan is to carry a sample with me to events so you
can see it in person. FYI - the decal is not square,
it is oval just like the original!

Attention Vintage Race Car Restorers - If you are
currently restoring or have restored a midget with
an Autocraft power plant and are missing the well
known decal which adorned the air cleaner mud deflectors
- your search is over. This unavailable decal is
NOW AVAILABLE!
This
decal has been professionally recreated on our cutting
edge computers then professionally printed. Due
to the unknown market for this decal, orders to
the printer are on a per request basis. We do not
make any money on this - this is simply being offered
as a service to assist is making your restoration
project as period correct as we hope ours will be.
Technical
Information From Printer: "The decals are
outdoor durable, UV resistant and clear-coatable
(if desired). The black used is a standard black
and will be "resin printed" on a white
5-7 year vinyl (adhesive backed). I have the ability
to perfectly reproduce decals in multi-color and
use shiny gold and silvers as a decal might require."
To
inquire further about the decal, please email Brian
Watson at brianwatson@watsonracingteam.com
